Crafted from turmeric, tamarind, and warming spices, inspired by Kunyit Asam, a traditional Indonesian Jamu recipe passed down through generations.

For centuries, communities across Indonesia have turned to Jamu as part of daily life, a simple practice made from roots, spices, and botanicals.

Traditionally prepared by hand and shared across generations, Jamu was never about quick fixes. It was about consistency, connection, and caring for the body through everyday practices.

Why Alche·Me exists.

After years of digestive discomfort, I discovered Jamu during my trip to Indonesia. It was incredible how effective it was for my condition.

When I returned to Australia, I searched for the same authentic Jamu experience.

I couldn't find it.

What began as a daily drink sparked a deeper journey.

To learn its origins, I travelled to Java to study with traditional Jamu makers by participating in multiple workshops and learning about its history and culture. Along the way, I was honoured to receive the blessing of a Jamu master in Bali to continue sharing its wisdom with others.

So I created Alche·Me, a respectful bridge between ancient wisdom and modern living.

Not to reinvent an ancient tradition, but to honour it, and make this centuries old practice more accessible to modern life.

How to take it

No complicated method. Just choose what works for you.

Mix 1 to 2 teaspoons with warm water and enjoy before breakfast.

Cold

Brew ahead, chill in the fridge, or simply pour over ice.

On the go

Take it with you in a thermos or a bottle and sip throughout the day: at work, at your lunch break, after the gym, in the evening on the sofa watching movies.

Quick questions.

What does it taste like?
Warm, gently bitter, lightly spiced. Closer to a turmeric latte than a tea. Earthier, less sweet. Most people grow into it within a few days.
Hot or cold?
Either. It's most beneficial as a hot brew in the morning before breakfast. Once you've made a batch, cold from the fridge is faster and works just as well.
Can I take it every day?
Yes. That's the idea. Jamu has been taken daily across Indonesia for generations. Consistency is where the value comes from.
Is it caffeinated?
No.
Is this a supplement?
No. Alche·Me is a traditional herbal blend and food product, not a TGA-listed therapeutic product. We don't make medical claims, we simply honour a traditional recipe.
